My dentist referred me

Great! We are growing mainly by reputation and value the trust your dentist has placed in our office. Your dentist will usually send us enough information that is then shared with our specialists and team so that we are prepared for you when you arrive. 

I want a second opinion

We can usually provide that, depending on the type of concern you have and the type of treatment that was recommended to you. We believe in open communication with other professionals (including your current dentist) in order to provide you with the best possible opinion. Keep in mind that different options are going to be right for different people, and in the end you need to choose the right option for you.

I DON’T HAVE A DENTIST

No referral is needed to see a dental specialist. When you first call, we want to make sure we understand what you need so that we can schedule you correctly and connect you with the right specialist. However, since we do not provide the full spectrum of dental care, we might need to involve a general dentist or other specialists for parts of your treatment plan. We have a network of people we already work with that we can recommend as needed. 

 
 
 
 

WHAT TO EXPECT

 

The day you arrive, we will:

  • Review your medical and dental histories

  • Discuss your concerns

  • Explain our findings

  • Develop a tailored plan to address your individual needs and goals

Whenever possible, we will try to schedule you so that we can also start on your immediate concern if you are referred for a specific treatment.

Depending on the nature of your problem, we might require more than one appointment to assess your situation and develop your plan. 

 

 

FINANCIAL INFORMATION

 

Clarity

The cost of your care will be made clear. While it is impossible to foresee every potential outcome when planning your care, we will inform you when there is a risk of additional problems or costs. Openly and honestly discussing the cost is part of determining the best care for you.

Payment

Full payment is due the day services are provided as most consultations and treatment are completed in the same day. We accept cash, debit, and most major credit cards. 

We do not provide financing or loans. 

Dental Benefits

We do not directly bill your dental plan but we will complete any necessary forms for you to obtain your benefits. The portion of the cost of specialist treatment covered by your dental plan varies between insurance carriers. You are ultimately responsible for the portion of the cost not covered by the plan (known as the “co-payment” or “deductible”).

WE TREAT YOU,
NOT YOUR DENTAL PLAN

Our treatment recommendations are based on your health needs, which may differ from what your plan covers. It is rare to find a dental plan that covers 100% of the cost of all treatment. Nor will the typical dental plan cover the entire cost of all dental care in a lifetime.

Dental coverage is a contract that was negotiated between your employer and the insurance company for their benefit. We encourage you to know your plan in order to avoid disappointments with payment and reimbursement.

We can help you understand your coverage and assist you in getting pre-authorization for treatment. This will provide you with a good estimate—before treatment starts—of what will be covered by your plan, and what you will have to pay.
